Reinforced Concrete- An Innovative technology towards construction

India is a developing country as compared to other nations, on its verge to be a developed country, India is stepping ahead day per day. A country is considered to be a developing one according to the roads and transport network it has. Constructing roads and bridges are being carries out across the nation on a war scale. India is setting and breaking its own records in construction of road network.

With constructing them and opening it for the public usage causes ease to the commute and growing economy and market. With the use it also causes wear and tear for the road network.

Bridges and road on bearing heavy load of vehicles and vibrations caused due to them, it leads to the cracking of concrete used for construction of the transport network. A huge number of cracks can be observed below and above the road’s surfaces and bridges. Prima-facia these cracks are not dangerous but eventually with time can cause a huge distress.

These cracks expose the steel contained inside, which can further lead to the rusting of them caused by the oxidation. These can hamper the strength and capacity to withstand the structure.

In the world full of innovations and technology, one technology can become a boon to overcome this issue. The basic ideology behind this innovation is to strengthen the surface\whole concrete with the use of small fragments\strands made up of fibre, plastic, steels.

These reinforcing strands comes in many different varieties and can be differently used as per the load bearing and vibration bearing capacity of that particular road and in case of bridges it is depended on the span and load it is going to carry during the transport.

I an example is considered, one of its kind bridges is recently inaugurated by Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of NHAI &MORTH at Latur, Maharashtra India .
